Madgao to Mopa Airport Taxi - Plan This One Properly

Manohar International Airport at Mopa, code GOX, sits in the far north of Goa near the Maharashtra border. From Madgao it is about 65 kilometres and, realistically, an hour and forty-five minutes to two hours depending on the time of day. It is a longer and more expensive run than Dabolim, which is worth knowing before you book a flight into it.

What the Mopa run involves

• The route goes up the NH66 through Verna, Panjim and Porvorim; Panjim in the evening is the slow part
• Tolls on the way are included in the quoted fare
• We recommend leaving Madgao three hours before an international departure
• Flight tracking on arrivals, with waiting time not charged for a delay
• Larger boot space matters here - say how many bags when booking

For 5 am and 6 am departures the pickup is somewhere between 2 am and 3 am. That is a normal booking for us rather than a special request, and the fare does not change because of the hour.

The same run works from anywhere in the South Goa beach belt. Colva, Benaulim, Varca and Cavelossim add roughly fifteen to twenty minutes each to the Madgao timing.
